Friends VS Family

Image
Friends vs family  Sometimes friends can become so close they are practically family. One of my friends named Juan has really helped me to broaden my academic knowledge. Juan loves to joke and he's really sarcastic but he's also very proper. He likes to use big words to trick people up and she's very intellectual on how he uses certain statements. It's never malicious, it's always good fun and having a friend like Juan has helped me to broaden my vocabulary and broaden my writing. Juan wants to be a writer or he wants to write a comic or a game. He's very ambitious and I find that we are similar in that way. I am a dual major in marketing and computer science which I feel is pretty ambitious seeing as to not have many overlapping classes but I feel like doing it regardless because I want to. I feel like if I'm going to be a digital marketer I should know how to be cold. My mom doesn't like one. Juan has several siblings and a loving mom but they are al...

Bonds

Image
Bonds The bonds I have made have helped me through many things in life. I think bonds are important and you have to cherish the bonds you have. Sometimes you meet people and you don't know the impact that they will have on your life. When I was originally told there was a media center inside of my high school it was quite shocking. I know of a lot of students who needed some type of internet technology help and I didn't know there was somewhere they could go inside my school. At the time I really needed to print a paper and so did my best friend and Art Theater teacher we had for a zero. And a first. Told us about the media center. When we got to the room that she told us that it was in it seemed troubled and everything was not put together. There's no teacher in the room so we thought that we might have made a mistake and we went back to the classroom and said there's no one there. Later in the day when we had gone to our lockers and were about to leave the building ...

Sisterhood

Image
Sisterhood I feel I've always been in some type of organization that made me feel the sense of sisterhood or brotherhood; Whether it was student council, NHS, troop 7124, or now girls who code. Growing up I went to a kindergarten through 8th grade school. We hadn't had a student council for a really long time and with the help of my counselor we reinitiated a student council at our school. During 6th grade I was the vp and in 7th and 8th grade I was president. I put so many hours into the student council. I absolutely loved knowing every single name inside the school starting new programs and activities that are still at the school today. I really felt like I left my Mark at a school that I went to for 9 years and it makes me feel proud and good of myself. Inside of theater I knew I was going to like theater but I really came out with some amazing friends that I hopefully will stay with forever.  Theater is a lot more rough than someone may think looking from the outside. In...

Friends

Image
Friends   I try to keep my friends. I have friends that I've kept since I was 4 and friends I only met a year or two ago. I wouldn't say I have a large group of friends but I have a close group of friends. It's important to pay attention to the people that you surround yourself with. The people that I've come to know and love in my friendships are usually very determined and loyal. However there are friends that aren't as loyal and determined and it is hard when you have had a friend since you were 4 years old and they start acting differently and in a way that you don't really want to be friends with them anymore. That's what happened with my friend Omar. I've known Omar since the first grade. He's one of the only friends that I know, his family, his siblings and I know them really well. His little sister is in the same grade as my brother and we all went to the same school for 9 years. Omar ended up leaving. School in the fifth grade but his sist...

Family

Image
Family My family means many things to me. Families have many sides. In a family where your dad has over 13 siblings and your mom's, mom has about 9 siblings it can feel hard to navigate. Growing up in a family was everything. When you had a birthday when you were going out when you were hanging out during your free time it was always with your family. I didn't mind, I loved hanging out with my family. Having such a large family but still having so much in common with them made us friends and family. It was comforting to know someone always had your back. So when I was around the age of 8 years old and my mom and dad got separated for various reasons it felt like I lost half my family. I was so confused as an eight-year-old because everything I ever knew was family. I didn't really have many friends. The friends I did have I only saw as " school friends". Although I didn't know many of the younger kids on my dad's side so with the help of some friendships...
